Today we have updated FacileThings with interesting improvements in the use of the Calendar.
In addition to the traditional view of “event list”, now you have a monthly, weekly and daily view of your Calendar, allowing you to have a better perspective of upcoming events.
The buttons on the top right (1) lets you switch between the standard view and the daily, weekly and monthly views. The system will remember the last view you used and it will be shown the next time you visit the Calendar list. The second button group (2) lets you move through the calendar, going to the previous or next day, week or month—depending on the view in which you are. The “today” button helps you quickly return to the initial state.
Click on any event to edit its information. When editing an item in these calendar views, you also have the possibility to set it as Done, if it were completed:
The items that have been assigned a specific time, are created in the Calendar with a duration of one hour, by default. However, in the day and week views, you can change the duration of an event by dragging the bottom of the box that contains it
To change the time of an event, simply drag the event on the desired box.
Improvements in the integration with Google Calendar
So you can better use these new calendar views, we have also incorporated some improvements in the synchronization between the FacileThings Calendar and Google Calendar:
- The end time of each event is now synchronized, so that you can see and set the expected duration of an event in the Calendar.
- The extended description of the Google Calendar events are synchronized within the notes of the FacileThings items.
- Now you can customize the number of days included in each synchronization: 1 month, 3 months or 6 months. Because synchronization has a cost in time, you should use the smallest amount of time possible within your requirements.
- And you can also decide what to do with the Google Calendar events once you have marked them as done in FacileThings. You have three options: do nothing, change the text or delete the event.
Customization parameters can be adjusted in your Account, Integration section, “Edit Google Configuration” button:

Looks good!! Although changing between views seems to take a long time

Bravo! A significant improvement. Maybe the most significant in the short time I've been using FT (about 7 months). The only thing I would do to improve it even more is allow the monthly view to use more of the screen, Possibly remove the help text on the right side, but just for the monthly view. Other than that, it's a huge improvement. I like.
BTW, I'm not having any time issues changing between views.

Thank you all for your comments!
PD: Brecht, we had about 30 minutes of low performance yesterday in the morning. I think that's why you felt the new feature slow. Let me know if still happens ;)

Sin duda un gran avance para tener una vision mas global de las tareas de la agenda.
Yo también tuve algún problema con los cambios de vista, que se solucionaron eliminando las cookies
