Basics of GTD
Doing
The basic purpose of this management is to help you decide, at any time, what to do and what not to do, and feel good about it.
Ultimately, you must trust your intuition to make decisions. In addition, you can apply this four-criteria model, in this order
- Context: Some actions require a specific location or having certain tools at hand, which will limit your options.
- Time available: If you have a meeting within 15 minutes, you should focus on actions that require less time.
- Energy available: You must have some power to undertake certain actions. Others, however, do not need so much energy. How much energy do you have at this moment?
- Priority: Given a context, time and energy available, choose the option that will give you the highest payoff. This is where your intuition and personal criteria come into play.
