What does Defer mean in GTD?

Defer

It means postponing an action to a more appropriate future moment, since you do not need to do it right now.

When you are clarifying an action that you are going to do and that will take more than two minutes, you will defer it by putting a reminder on one of your Next Actions lists, so that you can do something about it later.
