Braintoss is an Android and iPhone app that makes it quick and easy to send voice memos, images, and notes in your email Inbox. That makes it a useful tool for anyone practicing the GTD methodology.

The ability to capture audio is particularly useful, because the audio is processed with voice recognition and automatically comes with a short text transcript of the first words. This makes it easy to quickly see what each message in your Inbox contains.

Another useful feature is that Braintoss appears in the sharing options of other smartphone apps in your smartphone, so you can easily capture a web page, a post from X, or other content from apps that support sharing.

If you use Braintoss and want your captures delivered to your FacileThings Inbox, follow these steps to set up the integration:

1. Configure Braintoss using your main email address.
2. In Braintoss, send a note with the text set from unique. This sets Braintoss to send emails from a unique address, which FacileThings needs to recognize your emails.
3. Then in Braintoss, send a note with the word settings. This prompts Braintoss to email you your settings. Note the BTid parameter — it becomes the prefix of your unique Braintoss email address.
4. In FacileThings > Account > Settings > Emails section, add an email address using the BTid value followed by @braintoss.com (it will be something similar to bt2c9a98105f3c5fa7feafa7e8469a3796@braintoss.com).
5. Braintoss will forward FacileThings’ confirmation email to you. Click the “Confirm your new email” button in the message (if it isn’t in HTML format, click the link starting with “https://app.facilethings.com/confirm_mail” and click on it).
6. In Braintoss, change your main email address to inbox+BTid@facilethings.com (replacing BTid with your unique identifier).

After this, all items you send from Braintoss will arrive in your FacileThings Inbox.
